Chairman
James B. Hendrix founded Progressive Agricultural
Management, Inc. in 1988 and is its President and
a major shareholder. Pro-Ag manages irrigated farmland
and grassland in Weld, Yuma, and Phillips County,
Colorado; Finney and Haskell County, Kansas; and
Chase and Dundy County, Nebraska. The principal
crops produced on land managed by Pro-Ag include
Light Red Kidney beans, popcorn, alfalfa, and corn.
Mr.
Hendrix also is a partner in a family partnership
that owns and operates irrigated farmland and runs
a cow-calf pair and stocker cattle operation in
Yuma County, Colorado. From 1976 to 1988 he was
manager of VAL Farms (4,000 irrigated acres) where
he introduced the production of dry edible beans
and adapted the farm for the production of Light
Red Kidney beans. He was instrumental in developing
the farm management division of VAL Farms.
Mr.
Hendrix graduated from Colorado State University
in 1973 with a B.S. degree in Animal Sciences. He
has taken business management courses at the University
of Colorado (1973-74) and participated in the Executive
Program for Agricultural Producers at Texas A&M
(1994-97). He was named National Outstanding Young
Farmer by the American Farm Bureau (1982); served
on the pesticide users National Advisory Committee
of the Environmental Protection Agency (1991-94);
served on the Premier Farm Credit Advisory Committee
(1999-2001); and served as chairman of the Republican
Party for Yuma County, Colorado (1990-95), Mr. Hendrix
has served on the State of Colorado Chemigation
Advisory Committee since 1995 and is also active
in church and community affairs.

Brown,
General Manager
Steven
L. Brown has been General Manager of the Facility
since its acquisition from ConAgra. He has been
involved with operations of the Facility since 1974
and has been employed by ConAgra Foods, Inc., since
1992. Until 2002, he was Regional Manager for the
Rocky Mountain Area for ConAgra, having supervisory
responsibility for approximately nine processing
locations and nine receiving locations including
the Facility, and approximately 75 employees.
When
ConAgra discontinued its regional offices in 2000,
he took the position of Manager / Grower Services
in charge of operations of the Facility ad also
works in supply side marketing. From 1982 to 1992,
he was employed by Jack's Popcorn Company,
a previous owner of the Facility, as Executive Vice
President and General Manager having responsibility
for finance, budgeting, and bean processing plants
in five states.
Mr.
Brown is on the Board of Directors of the Colorado
Dry Bean Administrative Committee, and has served
as its Secretary / Treasurer for the last eight
years. He also has served as Chairman of the Finance
Committee of the National Dry Bean Council for the
past four years and recently was elected its Secretary
/ Treasurer.
